2022 Call for Executive Committee Nominations

Current ASCILITE financial members are now invited to stand for election to the ASCILITE Executive Committee.
ASCILITE members who value the services and professional community engagement offered through our not-for-profit Society, and who believe they have the time, commitment and dedication to work in a voluntary capacity to contribute toward a variety of ASCILITE activities, are invited to nominate for election to the Executive Committee.
You will find details of current Executive Members here and a summary of Executive roles and the work of the Executive is outlined in the document Prospective Executive Committee Member Information.
For further information on the work of the Society or the Executive Committee please contact the President, Vice-President or any Executive Committee member. You may access committee member emails from the Executive Committee listings on the ASCILITE website. Committee members will be happy to answer your questions by phone or email.
Election Groups
The ASCILITE Executive Committee comprises up to nine elected members including the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and up to 7 additional committee members.
As per the ASCILITE Constitution, the Treasurer along with 4 committee members form Group 1 while the President, Vice-President and 3 committee members form Group 2. Positions for each group are elected in alternate years, i.e. Group 1 is elected in one year followed by Group 2 the following year. Elected members serve two year terms.
Call for Nominations
This year, the Call for Nominations is for Group 1. Consequently, nominations are called for the role of Treasurer and up to 4 committee members. Members are welcome to nominate for any position in Group 1 by following the nomination process below.
How to Nominate
To nominate, read the Prospective Executive Committee Member Information and then complete the 2022 Executive Committee Nomination Form.
You must be a current ASCILITE member to be a nominee and the form requires you to be nominated and seconded by two other current ASCILITE members. You will also need to attach a photo and a brief bio must accompany your nomination form.
Email the completed form and attachment to the Returning Officer at secretariat@ascilite.org by 11pm AEST on 20 September 2022.
Election Schedule
The Call for Nominations is open to all financial members from 29 August to 20 September 2022 and voting will open on 22 September and close on 10 October 2022. Members will be sent candidate information with an online voting link on 22 September.
Votes are tallied and candidates will be notified of results by 17 October 2022. The results of the ballot will be announced at the ASCILITE AGM during the ASCILITE 2022 Conference.
Postal Ballots
Any financial member who is unable to cast a vote online can email their name and postal address to the Returning Officer at secretariat@ascilite.org by 20 September 2022 in order to receive a postal ballot form by mail.
