Strategic Importance of the ASCILITE Conference
The annual conference is ASCILITE’s key event for the year which provides a forum for:
- the presentation of refereed full and short papers
- poster sessions
- sponsor interactions
The conference provides a significant opportunity to meet with peers and educational technology industry representatives to exchange ideas and information, initiate and build collaborations and also provides memorable opportunities for social interaction.
Call for Proposals to Host an ASCILITE Conference
ASCILITE conferences are hosted by a different institution each year and a Call for Proposals from interested institutions is usually published two years in advance of the conference. ASCILITE 2020 and 2021 will be hosted by the University of New England. Proposals are assessed by the ASCILITE Executive based on a range of criteria. A Conference Proposals Information document contains the selection criteria and explains in detail what is required of a conference proposal committee. A copy of the Hosting Proforma for submitting a proposal is available here. ASCILITE welcomes expressions of interest at any time.
