About the Learning Analytics SIG

The ASCILITE Learning Analytics Special Interest Group (LA‑SIG) brings together educators, researchers, and practitioners who are passionate about using data to improve learning and teaching. Our purpose is to strengthen awareness of Learning Analytics (LA), build practical resources, and support communities across Australia and New Zealand, including the wider Asia-Pacific region, to adopt effective, evidence‑informed practices.

Our committee—Marion Blumenstein (The University of Auckland), Linda Corrin (Deakin University), Srećko Joksimović (Adelaide University), and Lisa‑Angelique Lim (University of Technology Sydney)—works to create opportunities for educators to learn about LA tools, interpret insights, and apply findings to real teaching and course design challenges. The LA‑SIG complements the work of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR), ALASI, and various institutional LA Working Groups.
