Naomi Millgate is a Senior Educational Developer – VET Futures at Central Queensland University. Before moving into the third space in higher education, she worked in corporate training within a disability support organisation. Her volunteer work as a trainer and assessor in the VET sector laid the foundation for her career in training and education, sparking a lasting commitment to learner development and inclusive practice.
Jess Ashman is Head of Learning at Cadmus. With a background in tertiary education and over a decade of experience in project and account management within education and SaaS, her expertise lies in developing account growth strategies, driving product value realisation, designing and implementing high-quality learning experiences, and forging lasting relationships with key stakeholders. She leads projects from concept to implementation to evaluation, using data-driven insights to adapt and ensure success.
Courtney Shalavin is the Manager of Customer Voice at TAFE NSW. She is a specialist in human-centred design with close to a decade of experience solving vocational and tertiary education problems. Courtney is skilled in mixed-methods research, end-to-end project management and generating trust and credibility with stakeholders.
Amy Martin wears multiple hats as a Non-Executive Director and Board Vice-President Australian Institute of Training and Development and the Educational Technology Adoption Manager at Queensland University of Technology. She brings experience from corporate and enterprise settings, vocational and higher education environments, and has worked in various industries including cybersecurity, finance, education, and defence. Amy has qualifications and skills in Career Education, Adult and Vocational Education, Training and Assessment, and Information Technology.
Carmen Vallis is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Development at the University of Sydney Business School. Carmen leads co-design projects and multidisciplinary teams with the aim of making learning and teaching better for all. Her diverse background spans higher education, secondary, vocational, and adult education sectors as a teacher, learning designer, writer and researcher.
