Call for Submissions for AJET Special Edition on Digital Equity
This special issue of AJET seeks the contribution of papers that consider, evaluate, or contribute actionable knowledge towards ensuring digital equity.
We invite authors to submit studies, reviews and conceptual articles on topics including, but not exclusive to: Representational issues in digital access and participation in tertiary education (race, gender, ability)
- Policy and practice barriers to digital access to higher education
- Incarcerated student participation in digital higher education
- Digital divides and barriers
- Accessible and assistive technologies
- The role of technology in meeting sustainable development goals (SDGs)
- Digital pedagogies
- Digital literacy
- Equitable digital practices

7 Week CMALT ePortfolio cMOOC
Are you interested in gaining international accreditation for your experience and expertise in integrating technology in teaching and learning?
The Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT) provides peer reviewed recognition aligned with the UK higher education professional standards framework.
The Centre for Learning And Teaching at Auckland University of Technology have developed a cMOOC (connectivist Massive Open Online Course) to support academics and allied staff develop portfolios for CMALT accreditation, and facilitate an experience of participating in a global network of higher education professionals. The 2019 CMALT cMOOC starts 25 February and will run for 7 weeks. The cMOOC is completely free and is aimed at participants sharing experiences as they explore developing CMALT eportfolios, and building their professional academic online profiles.
There will be a YouTube Livestream at 10:30amm, 22 February (New Zealand time) as an intro for anyone interested in finding out more about the cMOOC.
We use a customised Moodle Discussion Forum, Twitter, and WordPress to facilitate the cMOOC.
The first step in participating is the signup form after which you will receive a login to the Community Forum.

We use the #cmaltcmooc hashtag for Twitter and any other social media related to the cMOOC.

2019 CiTEL Learning Analytics Symposium
The 2019 CiTEL Learning Analytics Symposium will be held on 31 May and 1 June 2019 at the Centre for Innovation, Teaching Excellence & Leadership at Lourdes Hill College, Brisbane. The Symposium will bring together leaders in the field from across the tertiary and secondary sectors, to share cutting edge research and future directions for Learning Analytics and to provide a platform for teachers and educators to share how they are using data analytics to improve student learning.
