Womens College has been chosen as the budget-end accommodation for the ASCILITE99 Conference. It is located in the beautiful grounds of the University of Queensland, St Lucia, on the banks of the Brisbane River. The University of Queensland campus features extensive walking tracks and sporting facilities, having a two-screen cinema complex and the usual university-campus facilities. Travel to the conference venue at QUT is either by bus or a 15-minute "CityCat" ferry ride. The ferry pontoon is a level, 10-minute stroll from the College and services run approximately every 20 minutes. The College kitchen offers delicious meals and caters to all dietary needs. The common rooms are bright and airy, and are supplied daily with fresh fruit, with coffee and tea-making facilities available. Fresh towels are provided every day in each room.
