Travelling to Auckland

Air New Zealand

The ASCILITE 2002 Conference organisers are delighted to announce that Air New Zealand will provide all conference delegates and friends/family travelling to Auckland a 5% discount off the best available airfare. Anyone wishing to take advantage of the discount must call Air New Zealand directly on the toll free reservations number (below) to book or bookings can be made directly at Air New Zealand Travel Centres in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth. Please note that the discount is not available for bookings via a third party or over the Internet.

During ASCILITE, Air New Zealand will offer four flights daily to Auckland from Sydney and Melbourne, a daily service from Brisbane and four flights every week from Perth. The offer of the 5% discount is for travel up to 5 days prior and after the conference dates.

To take advantage of this offer, simply call toll free 132 476 (in Australia), quote 'KISYDD' and then 'ASCILITE 2002' to the reservations agent and you will be offered the best available airfare less 5%!

Of course the cheapest airfares have some stringent conditions attached to their purchase of which the reservations team will make people fully aware at the time of booking. Generally the cheap tickets are non refundable, non transferable, and can not usually be changed without heavy penalties and upgrade fees. We would also recommend people book as early as possible to get the cheapest fares as the cheap tickets are the first to sell out.

Australian Citizens do not require visas to enter New Zealand. New Zealand also operates a Visitor Visa waiver system for some countries. For more information in immigration and Visitor Visa requirements, refer to the New Zealand Immigration Service.
