The International Interactive Multimedia Symposium was held in Perth, Western Australia, on three occasions in 1992, 1994 and 1996. All three Symposia were chaired by Dr Harry Edgar, with Promaco Conventions managed by Mr Don Pearce acting as Secretariat, organiser and publisher, and also involved as a major sponsor. For details on the history of the IIMS series, the organising committees and other sponsors, please refer to the Preface in each of the three volumes of the Proceedings [Preface 1992], [Preface 1994], [Preface 1996].
