Content: The interactive multimedia common denominator

Interactive multimedia is delivered through a variety of distribution systems, including CDROM, the Internet's world wide web, and through broadband cable systems. Often the technological capabilities involved with these systems distract and obscure the true nature of the medium. Interactive content, the delivery of which is the real purpose for these technologies, forms the basis for a new and unique publishing infrastructure that requires new editorial skills and functions.
