About the Conference
Education is facing a number of significant challenges. Recent waves of global uncertainty coupled with local crises and government reforms are reshaping the tertiary education landscape. As we look toward the next decade of rapid technological and global change, we need to consider how tertiary education will meet a range of challenges. Serious questions remain about the impact of new digital technologies on learning and teaching and the sustainability of current models of tertiary education, especially in the face of several wicked problems.
Our conference theme and sub-themes provide the opportunity to consider these challenges in the wider context of sustainability as we look to shape our own futures. The conference is designed to explore three sub-themes:
- Learning for the future
- Teachers as future makers
- Leading in a climate of change
Ki te kahore he whakakitenga ka ngaro te iwi
