TELedvisors webinar on preparing proposals for ASCILITE 2022 and reconnecting relationships

26 May 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm AEST

2 – 3pm New Zealand | 10am Singapore/Hong Kong

The call for papers for ASCILITE 2022 is out and we’re keen to see #TELedvisors and other SIG topics highlighted through many successful submissions. Let’s brainstorm some ideas, find co-author partners and hear from the ASCILITE 2022 conference team and the authors of last year’s best paper to get guidance and inspiration for proposals. Interested in contributing to a #TELedvisors symposium? Let’s talk! Come along to our regular end-of-month timeslot in May to get ready for the early July deadline.

Our discussants for the webinar are:

Dr Stephanie Wilson(BMus (Hons), PhD, GCULT, SFHEA) – Stephanie is Deputy Director of Business Co-Design at the University of Sydney Business School. Her role for ASCILITE 2022, which is running this year at the University of Sydney (and online) from 4 to 7 December, is as one of the team for the conference submissions and proceedings. Stephanie will highlight the significance of this year’s theme and take your questions on session formats and conference goals/dream presentations.

Dr Beth Beckmann (PhD, MHE, GCHE, GDipNatRes, MA, BA, PFHEA, SFSEDA, FAITD, CMALT) – Beth is the Director of Beth Beckmann & Associates, providing specialist higher education leadership and support to individuals and institutions for professional recognition, mentoring and innovation. She is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Australian National University and an Australian National Teaching Fellow.

Dr Lynn Gribble (GradDipTourismMgmt, MEd (T&D), MLLR, PhD, SFHEA, CMALT) – Lynn is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management and Government of the UNSW Business School who has coupled award-winning teaching with a strong research interest in the world of work.

Beth and Lynn co-authored the Best Full Paper at the 2021 ascilite conference, which addressed their experience of developing and mentoring professional portfolios for the Certified Membership of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT). You can read their paper from the 2021 proceedings.

Please come and participate: there’s no need to register, you can just enter the webinar room link at the scheduled time. Everyone is welcome, whether you intend to make a proposal or not: let’s encourage each other to learn and share.
