Webchat: What do learning technologists actually do?

May 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This TELedvisors SIG webchat, on the subject of “What do learning technologists actually do?” will be presented by Colin Simpson – Senior Learning Technologist (Swinburne University), Elaine Huber – Director Education Development in Business (University of Sydney),Kym Schutz – Educational Technologist (University of Adelaide) and Joe Hayes – Education Technology Team Leader (Monash University).

Edvisor units in our various institutions and organisations frequently house learning technologists and learning designers in the same space. It seems like a good time to delve a little deeper into the practices and skills of learning technologists. What do they know? What do they do? What’s the difference between them and learning designers? How do we work together? Is there an unofficial hierarchy of roles?
