Edith Cowan University is pleased to be the host location for the national conference EdTech'98 when it comes to Perth in July. The University is committed to a Strategic Plan incorporating a flexible learning approach which in tum is being supported by educational technology options.

The change in tertiary education resulting in global competition has made us all aware of the dominant role of technology in educational delivery both from a research and a learning perspective. The rate of change and adoption of the various alternatives is ubiquitous and a conference like EdTech'98 with its national focus helps set the agenda for the immediate future. Trying to predict the likely technological changes is at best an informed estimate of the future whereas utilising the options to their best advantage is an immediate problem with the leading organisations adapting more effectively.

Remaining current in this field is essential and EdTech'98 gives access to world leaders in the field and includes an innovative Virtual Conference on the Internet and a video conference session with links to the USA/Canada, South Africa, India, New Zealand and across Australia. Come and see what the future holds for you and your organisation.
